Trips & Activities

BCA students can take in many fascinating sites,both in and around Mangalore, including:


• Local visits to the Kadri Manjunath Temple, dating back to about 1068 A.D., and the Mangaladevi Temple from which the city’s name is derived.
• Tour of the Sultan Battery built in black stones by Tippu Sultan to prevent warships from entering the Gurpur River.
• Trips to Bangalore, with its many churches, temples and shopping districts, and Mysore, an imperial city of palaces and lush gardens.
• Excursion to Cochin, a seaside town on the southwest coast of the Indian peninsula, renowned for its Chinese fishing nets.
• Trip to Goa, “Pearl of the Orient,” which offers beautiful beaches, world heritage architecture and the biodiversity of the Western Ghats.
