Why BCA-CYA in Athens, Greece?  

• Join students from College Year in Athens (CYA) for courses in a variety of disciplines and interdisciplinary themes, including Ancient Greek Studies, European and East Mediterranean Studies, Byzantine and Modern Greek Studies, philosophy, political science, international relations, economics, and sociology.
• BCA Signature Seminar on “Democracy: Perspectives from Greece.” This 3-credit course examines the concept and practices of democracy from ancient times to the present, with a special focus on the Greek contribution to this critically important way of organizing human governance.
• Study the Greek language.
• Participate in an educational excursion to Cyprus and visit other notable sites in and around Athens.
