Advisors

For more than 45 years, BCA has worked closely with study abroad offices, advisors and faculty from numerous colleges and universities around the country to send U.S. students abroad.

Our Mission

Rooted in the values of peace and justice, BCA Study Abroad promotes international understanding, awareness of global citizenship and academic scholarship through educational exchanges.

A Partner in International Education

Launched in 1962 by a consortium of seven colleges with historic ties to the Church of the Brethren, BCA is now an independent non-profit study abroad provider offering:

  • More than a dozen study abroad programs at academic centers around the world serving hundreds of students each year
  • Peace and justice themes integrated within each program
  • Learning objectives blended with cultural immersion experience and opportunities
    within each program
  • Outcomes assessment tools to evaluate student enrichment and learning
  • Customized programs that provide students a unique, personalized short-term experience
  • International seminars for U.S. faculty and administrators at one or more of our program sites
  • International student placement from our host universities at U.S. college campuses interested in receiving

BCA cares about the individual and works hard to provide in-depth services to students and their families. At the same time, we also believe that students gain the most from cultural immersion and independence in their host country and encourage students to make the most of their time abroad.

We also care greatly about the relationships we have with you and your office. We are always available for questions, concerns, visits—just let us know how we can accommodate your needs. We see our work as an extension of your office’s mission, and we want to help further your goals and objectives.
